<p><strong>HDRI(High Dynamic Range)</strong> é um formato de imagem que simula a iluminação de<br />
uma ambiente em torno dos objetos da cena. No Blender 2.58 é possível<br />
utilizar melhor este tipo de recurso com mais facilidade sem a utilização<br />
de um raytracer, como em versões anteriores.</p>

<p>Algumas novidades:</p>

<li>Warp Modifier: Esse modificador consegue deformar um objeto usando como referência dois pontos. Os dois pontos funcionam como se fosse o início e final da deformação, sendo que podemos controlar a intensidade da deformação usando curvas.</li>
<li>Render Baking: As ferramentas para fazer Render Baking estão muito mais poderosas e flexíveis, com a possibilidade de manipular modelos 3d com vários níveis de subdivisão.</li>
<li>Empty Images Display: Os Emptys do Blender agora podem ser representados por imagens, o que abre diversas possibilidades para criação de controles e ajustes de estruturas como Rigs. Os Emptys são objetos invisíveis usados como referência para controles e pontos pivô.</li>
<li>Sculpting: Melhorias no sistema de escultura do Blender permitem que modificadores que alterem a malha 3d agora fiquem visíveis na escultura.</li>
<li>Mesh Inset (Addon): O Add-on que adiciona a opção de Inset na modelagem 3d agora acompanha a instalação oficial do Blender 2.58!</li>

<p>Neste capítulo vamos ver como criar materiais naturais observando objetos reais. Muitas vezes parece ser fácil reproduzir algumas texturas naturais em aplicativos como o Blender porém não tão simples assim. Não basta adicionar diversas texturas em camadas e cores de forma aleatória.
